The Nissan GT-R is one of the most astonishing pieces of engineering on the road today. Not only is it fantastic in the handling department, not only is it blisteringly quick but it also is one of the best value for money packages you could ever buy. This car can topple Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s for a price that could be considered as loose change to the owners of the previously mentioned Italians. Today the GT-R just got even better!
The 2011 Nissan GT-R brings some changes that will keep the car at the top of its game despite the imminent sea of next generation supercars. The standard car now packs 525BHP in comparison with the ample 476BHP of its predecessor. Torque is also raised to an eye bursting 451lb-ft! Suspension systems have been reworked and now provide even more grip via increased road contact to ensure that every fibre of your body feels the astonishing G’s this car can pull. Breaks now have larger rotors for improved efficiency as well as new tyres and even lighter rims. The V-Spec model doesn’t get left out as it now has a feature called “overboost” that increases torque to 466lb-ft for an instant push to pass function. If that wasn’t enough two new special editions are coming our way in the form of the club track (track focused car) and Egoist (a model with more customisation options.)
We can’t wait to get our hands on this, a car which is without a doubt the biggest bargain in history at a supercar shaming £67,000. ETA February.
