Following hot on the heels of the New York Auto Show is a very important motor show for every car manufacturer. The 2014 Beijing motor show holds such high status as China is one of the worlds largest emerging markets for automobiles. Whilst over the past few year European sales slumped, China’s have rocketed and all of the brands know there is success to be had if they can capture the attention of Chinese buyers.
Citroen actually now sell more cars in China than what they do in their home nation of France. The DS range is a separate brand to the rest of the French company here and so this range is set to expand. Sister company Peugeot also has ambitions of following in Citroens footsteps by increasing sales here.
There is a wide variety of different cars on offer in Beijing and that is because of the sheer potential China has to offer all of the whole industry. New Bugatti Veyron? Sure, it’s here. A hybrid Bentley? You bet! How about a crazy 400BHP Volkswagen Golf? Here even the Germans have gone a bit mad.
