There is a poetic beauty in the fact that muscle cars still exist today. In a world where emission laws are killing off cars to the left and right, these big bold American dreams on wheels still live on. The modern-day Mustang, Camaro and Challenger all hark back to their forefathers, but there has been something missing from the options list on the last of that trio. The shaker hood!!!
Dodge are introducing the 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker shown for the first time at SEMA. This car features that blast from the past hood cold-air intake, and yes, it does shake and rumble along with the engine block.Powered by the standard 5.7 litre V8 Hemi, this Challenger retains its regular performance figures. Other changes include a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres, new steering rack, brake linings and shock absorbers. The cost of this modern interpretation is $36,995.
Can anyone else hear the chorus to “Born in the USA?”
