The little Renault Twingo is a fun car that doesn’t cost the Earth, is relatively cheap to run and has a very good RenaultSport variation on offer. This supermini has enjoyed a mid-life refresh as well as a healthy set of sale figures throughout. However, now it is time to replace the cheeky little chap and the French company have really gone out of their way to make sure its successor is something that sticks out from the crowd. 2014 Renault Twingo to Rival Porsche 911, Sort of… Not Really.
Here it is… To make its debut at the geneva motor show, the 2014 Renault Twingo not only looks fresh and modern, but also has its engine in the rear and possesses rear wheel drive. Obviously Porsche aren’t looking over their shoulders at this moment in time, but that doesn’t mean the new city car won’t be a lot of fun. Harking back to Renault of the past, the 2014 model aims to be desirable to the youth of today offering many customisation options. A three cylinder petrol engine of an as yet unknown power output will send its horses to the rear wheels via a dual clutch automatic or manual gearbox.
