For 2015 the Audi A1 has been at the receiving end of a facelift which includes changes to the grill, new paint combinations, side sills and headlamp graphics. Also, a new three-cylinder engine means that the altered A1 will be slightly more than just a pretty face.
In the new Audi A1 there are six new or upgraded engines that are on offer. The power output ranges from 89bhp to 228bhp on the S1 model which can go from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds. Whilst fuel consumption has benefitted from up to a 10% improvement. Also, for 2015, all engines will be available with the seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmission for further improvements in performance and efficiency.
Inside the interior for the A1, owners will be confronted by the latest MMI system, which controls the infotainment systems with the availability of a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The A1 will once again be available in the 3-door model and the 5-door, which will be branded as ‘Sportback’. Prices range from £14,315 to £21,640 and UK sales will start around springtime next year. The car has already proven popular and so we would expect this updated model to follow suit.
