Ok, so you have a reasonable sum of money in your bank account and your Mercedes CL that has served you so well in the past is starting to look a bit “last season,” What do you do? The market for big luxury coupes is beginning to grow again now that the financial crisis has started to ease up for most of Europe. Mercedes-Benz are very proud of their new S-Class, and so they should be with the car being an absolute marvel in terms of design and quality. For the CL’s replacement that is based upon the S-Class the Germans really wanted to do the model justice in the form of the S-Class Coupe. 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe indulges the wealthy.
It is a very elegant looking car isn’t it? A soft silhouette garnished with purposeful lines creating this rather proportionally pleasing sculpture. A range of engines are on offer including a twin-turbo 4.6 litre V8 producing 448BHP and 516lb-ft of torque, as well as twin-turbo 5.5 litre V8 with 577BHP in the S63 AMG. An innovative feature of the S-Class Saloon is the cars “Magic Ride Control” that allows the car to lean into a corner and improve road holding and decrease the lateral load applied to occupants. This system also scans the road ahead and adjusts the suspension for incoming bumps and ruts. Inside the cabin is just as lavish the the full-fat S-Class with incredible attention to detail and a whole herd of cows worth of leather. Each S-Class Coupe comes with a panoramic glass roof and two large displays.
