The Bentley Continental has been a real success for the brand. As the chosen transportation for just about every footballer in the land, a Continental is never far from the rich and famous. However, it was originally designed to go up against its arch rival, the DB9, but that has since been replaced with the cutting edge DB11. Next year will see the “flying B” reincarnate this model, but not before this 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports swan song.
Billed as the fastest Bentley yet, the 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports is powered by that familiar W12 engine but now equipped with larger turbos and better cooling. Producing a mammoth 700 BHP and 750lb ft of torque, of which is then sent to all four wheels, this British luxury machine will get from 0-60 MPH in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed? That would be 209 MPH. Bringing that all to a stop is a set of carbon ceramic brakes.
The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports receives a more aggressive body with large air intakes. Lightweight 21 inch alloy wheels fill the arches. A convertible variant is also available of which can do 0-60MPH in 3.7 seconds.
The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports and Superspots convertible go on sale this April costing from £212,500 and £233,800 respectively.
