Mid-life refreshes for cars are becoming less about nips and tucks, and more about serious revisions. Once upon a time a new set of headlights would be enough but in this highly competitive industry that no longer cuts the mustered. It is now the turn of the current Range Rover, a luxury SUV that has done exceptionally well for the company. Moving things forwards is the new 2017 Range Rover and it brings with it more than some chrome trim.
Whilst it does possess a few tweaks to the exterior, it is ultimately the same purposefully sophisticated visage we have become accustomed to. Inside you will find JLR’s new 10 inch touchscreen infotainment display which offers a wide range of features. Upgrade to the Pro variant of this and the navigation can be passed over to your phone once you leave the comfort of your palace. There are also some tech additions including autonomous braking and adaptive cruise control. Low traction launch helps the 2017 Range Rover get away on slippery surfaces.
The biggest news for the 2017 Range Rover is the addition of a new supercharged V6 model. Producing 335 BHP and 332lb ft of torque, this engine is the same unit found in the Jaguar F Type. It promises 0-60 MPH in 7.1 seconds.
Pricing starts at £76,350 for the 2017 Range Rover.
