When driving any modern high performance car on public roads, it soon dawns on you that there are not very many places where you can open the taps. Sometimes in serious 200MPH machines that can be very frustrating. The blisteringly fast Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is one such car as its 6.2 litre 730BHP V12 needs some space to stretch its legs. Ferrari took 40 F12 clients to the Nurburgring in order to demonstrate exactly what each prancing horse is capable of. It is quite a sight!
12.9 miles of some seriously challenging tarmac served as the canvas for 40 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. That is 29,200BHP flying the Italian flag! Each owner received tuition from Ferrari test drivers to ensure they got the most out of their cars. Although these supercars had to obey new speed restrictions imposed after a fatal crash earlier this year, the Nurburgring is still a challenge for drivers regardless of skill level.
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta can get from 0-62MPH in 3.1 seconds and 0-124MPH in just 8.5 seconds. Top speed is quoted as being 211MPH. It might be a front engined GT car, but the F12 is actually faster on Ferrari’s test track than an Enzo.
