Abarth to Build New Sports Car after 30 Years

SHARE

Abarth have announced today that they will build a new “stand-alone” sports car after a gap of 30 years. This car will be 100% built in-house and will not use Lotus as providers for chassis or development of the car. The car has been said to be a two-seater and weigh in at less than 900KG.

Antonino Labate, who is director of sales and marketing, said that we should expect the car to be available within the next two years. Hmmm I smell a concept coming to a motor show in the not too distant future. The baby Abarth is also expected to have around 240BHP and that combined with its low-fat attitude towards mass should make for some fantastic handling.
