The Alfa Romeo 4C is undeniably a very pretty little car. Its lightweight carbon construction enables nimble handling and pleasing performance from its 1.75 litre turbocharged engine. A true drivers car and one we absolutely loved spending time with. Last year the 4C Spider Concept car was shown to the world and improved to be just as gorgeous as its coupe counterpart. Later this year it will enter production and here at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show the finished Alfa Romeo 4C Spider presents itself.
Looking proportionally exquisite, this new topless model embodies everything that the Italian brand has craved for years. Looking near identical to the concept car, its voluptuous bodywork wraps around the carbon monocoque. A 237BHP turbocharged engine produces an excellent soundtrack of which can be heard even better without a roof. The roof itself is a stowable fabric affair, but a detachable solid carbon roof will become an optional extra. Despite the changes made to the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, it weighs only 10KG more than the coupe.
You can get your hands on one of these automotive sculptures in July when it goes on sale. Until then you will have to make do with these images.
