Allan McNish, you could say, is something of an authority when it comes to motorsport. The ex-Toyota F1 driver and endurance racing champion has proven time and again that he is very much a the flying Scotsman. After recently announcing his retirement attention has turned to what is next for McNish. For the 2014 Formula One season he will be commentating for the BBC, a very fitting role indeed. With his experience of energy recovery systems in LMP1 racing cars, he at this point knows more about how they behave than many of the F1 drivers themselves. In an interview for Drive’s Shakedown show this gentleman racer goes into detail on just what to expect from these dramatic rule changes.
