Look around at luxury car manufacturers and shall see that despite their products being fantastic works of engineering, you still know that when you see one on the road it is more than likely being driven by some self obsessed banker. Now I’m not saying that Aston Martin doesn’t receive this sort of customer but you do tend to think of them as a gentleman’s car. Aston has seen vast success in racing and today it official showed their new gentleman’s racer.
Teased to us a few months ago in the form of shadowed images, this is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. Customers can purchase this “ready to race” variant of the Vantage and do with it exactly what it says on the tin. A modified V12 is its thoroughbred heart with 600BHP and 500lb-ft of torque. A six speed sequential gearbox drives the car forwards making it a potent competitor for other GT3 race cars. Deliveries begin early 2012.
