Aston Martin’s Cambridge dealership is offering a limited run of five special edition models to celebrate the British manufacturer’s relationship with the Blades aerobatics team. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition remains unchanged from the original in mechanical terms, so it keeps its naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V8 engine producing 418bhp and 347lb ft of torque, all of which is sent to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox or an optional automatic gearbox.
The Blades Edition Aston does benefit from many aesthetic alterations, however. Orange detailing is found on both the door mirrors and grille, whilst other changes include a black roof, carbon fibre air vents, a new front splitter, orange stitching inside the Blades logo on the headrest and Union Flag badging.
The limited edition Vantage also comes with an experience package if you are one of the lucky five to purchase one. The experience day includes collecting your car from Blades’ headquarters in at Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton, where you are free to take it home, but not after a track experience in with your new V8 with the help from a professional driver as well as a chance to fly with the ex-Red Arrows pilots as part of the display team.
The V8 Vantage S Blades Edition comes at a £9,250 premium over the standard Vantage S and is available to order from Cambridge now for £119,950
