Aston Martin Vantage GT3 profileThe Aston Martin Vantage is actually 10 years old from its 2005 launch and so a successor is not going to be a million miles away. This elegant coupe spawns both V8 and V12 variations of which we absolutely adore. With its aforementioned AMG powered replacement coming soon, we are witnessing the end of an era. Presenting what is likely this models swan song at the Geneva motor show, the British company give you the Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

Firstly, this is not a racing car but the most extreme variant of Vantage ever which has taken technology from the racing GT3. The aerodynamic bodywork is all freshly delivered from the same wind tunnel that Aston Martin Racing use. A large rear wing dominates the coupe profile and a wider track has lead to more aggressive body styling. A front splitter and bonnet vent are all functional and create substantial downforce and cooling improvements. Inside the cockpit is finished with carbon and Alcantara. Extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium throughout the car has produced a weight saving of 150KG over the standard V12 Vantage S. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is powered by a V12 engine churning out 592BHP and 461lb ft of torque. Top speed is “only” 185MPH due to the rear wing, but 0-60MPH takes just 3.5 seconds.

This car will be highly exclusive with just 100 units being built and each costing £250,000. If you want one you will have to move quickly as most have already been spoken for by Aston Martin VIPs.
