BMW Becomes The Worlds Most Valuable Manufacturer

Who hasn’t looked up the worlds top 100 richest men and women? The who’s who list makes for an interesting read, but what of car manufacturers? Who would don the top of the most valued list now in 2012? Up until recently it was Toyota with their vast empire but was it VW who stole their thunder? Nope…

It was BMW. The German luxury brand has snuck ahead of the Japanese largely due to the natural disasters that have limited Toyota’s output. Toyota came in at second with Mercedes-Benz third. BMW’s extending global reach makes it the 23rd most valuable company in the world with an estimated brand value of $24.6 billion.
