Citroen Survolt to Tackle the Track

Remember that tiny little sports car Citroen showed off at the Geneva motor show this year? It was super-mini in size but Eiffel Tower in design, very modern with its bold lines yet soft details. Sadly 90% of concepts such as the Survolt never see the light of day again let alone production, but Citroen plan to race this electric dwarf at this week’s Le Mans Classic event.

With a few modifications the Survolt has a good chance of victory as its 300BHP electric motor can deliver all that power instantly creating a surge of acceleration. The result of this is a 0-62MPH of less than 5 seconds and a top speed of 160MPH, thought the car still has a range of 124 miles. No word on a production model but the French company are very keen on creating a one make race series.
