Focus RS500 Joins Ford Heritage Collection

SHARE

We at Inside Lane maintain that the Ford Focus RS is the best hot-hatch on sale today and one of the best ever. It’s exciting, involving, adrenalin inducing and good fun to lark around in, that’s the definition of this breed of car and the RS ticks every box. Ford announced that they would build a limited edition RS500 variant with more power and a few extra toys. They didn’t disappoint as the mat black monster became the ultimate rendition of one of the ultimate hatches. The car became the fastest selling Ford performance car the company has ever built as all were sold in less than two days. Today the RS500 takes its place in Ford’s hall of fame.

The very first production Focus RS500 joins Ford’s prestigious heritage collect that also contains the Ford GT and the legendary RS200. After being ragged around by the journalists the world over it’s a worthy retirement for a car that has made company history. The car will be on display in the collection but also tour various dealerships and attend motor shows. When the RS goes out of production very soon we will miss it immensely but for now we shall make the most of it being around.
