At the end of 2014 we were treated to some snippets of information concerning the next big Bond flick. To be called “Spectre” this 24th instalment from the world of espionage promises much. Director of Goldeneye and the recent Skyfall epic, Sam Mendes, will again take the helm. He shared with the world, at the unveiling, that Bond will be driving a unique Aston Martin DB10. The car will be built in very small numbers and acts more as a concept car for future Aston Martins. However, it is not just James Bond who gets all of the toys… The villain will be getting the keys to another very special car which will share the spotlight. It is official, the Jaguar C-X75 will also star.
The Jaguar C-X75 is a cutting edge design from Jaguar which was set to enter production rivalling the likes of the Porsche 918. The project was aborted at last minute and the end result of Jags collaboration with the Williams F1 team was just five examples of this amazing machine. Powered by a 1.6 litre turbo and supercharged engine coupled with an electric motor, the Jaguar C-X75 produces 888BHP and can get from 0-62MPH in 2.8 seconds. In 2013 the project was killed due to it being “the wrong time” to sell such a car according to the company.
The Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75 will go head to head in a dramatic sequence later this year.
