Jenson Button Claims Gripping Hungarian GP Victory

Red Bull are loosing their magic that seemingly gave them win after win in the first half of the season. Today it was yet another McLaren victory but this time for 2009 World Champion Jenson Button. On his 200th grand prix and in the very location of his first victory, his race win was a game of “good things come to those who wait.”

Lewis Hamilton starting second quickly wowed the crowds with his wicked pace on Vettel as well as incredible car control in the wet conditions. However his almost certain victory was lost when a poor choice of tyres was made and a drive-through penalty for spinning his car back into the correct direction without watching for other cars. Lotus Renault’s Nick Heidfeld had a moment when exiting the pits as his car caught fire and the left side-pod exploded. Nobody was harmed. Ferrari and Alonso took 3rd overall just behind championship leader Sebastian Vettel. Lewis had to settle for 4th whilst Webber was a disappointing 5th.

So what can we conclude as we enter the 3 week summer break? Red Bull though dominate for the majority have been well and truly caught up by McLaren, Ferrari have made their way onto the podium, and HRT are just as crap as what they were last season.
