Kia are due to unveil an electrifying shooting brake concept which will be dubbed the Kia Sportspace Concept. This is a glimpse of the future of Kia’s dynamic estates and hatchbacks with it’s sharp angles and ‘tiger nose’ grille. This new concept is striking from any angle and features a panoramic sunroof as well as twin exhausts.
Inside, the driver and passengers are greeted with futuristic opulence; bold metallic grey and black colours immerse the driver into a digital world with a big central screen and what looks like another large screen replacing the instruments, as well as a racing style steering wheel. Gregory Guillaume, the Chief Designer for Kia Europe describes how “the Sportspace is a totally new breed of grand tourer – one for active people who need reasonable cargo space on the weekend, but don’t want to compromise moving around in style, comfort and with an element of sportiness.” It seems clear that Kia have the aim of a practical, charismatic grand tourer that can meet the needs of what any driver will want from it.
The Sportspace concept will be available for the public eye at next months Geneva Motor Show in March.
