Kimi Raikkonen to Stay In WRC

2007 Formula One Champion Kimi Raikkonen is set to stay put in Red Bull’s WRC team for next year. The Finn lost his drive with the Ferrari F1 team and as a result ended up competing in the World Rally Championship. It wasn’t a promising start for Kimi but as the season progressed he showed he does at least have potential for the sport.

Red Bull run WRC spec Citroen C4’s that have dominated the rallying scene for many years now. Though Kimi’s contract for next year isn’t confirmed he said “I am not missing F1” which in our eyes is a very abrupt answer to whether he will return to the sport or not. That said if Mark Webber doesn’t sign a 2011 contract with Red Bull in Formula One we could well see this man in his place thanks to the owners of his WRC team.
