The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster has made it’s debut at the Monterey Car week in California. Production will be limited to just 500 units worldwide and you can bet all of them will be snatched up in an instant. The Superveloce nameplate means less weight and greater performance over the standard Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster – power is upped from 700 bhp to 750 bhp whilst the 1,575kg weight is 50kg lesser than the standard topless Aventador.
Lamborghini claim none of the performance or handling capabilities found in the coupé version have been lost with removing it’s roof. A naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine fires the Aventador SV Roadster from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds and will go on to an eye watering top speed in access of 217mph. The Roadster also has a power rear window which allows the breathtaking engine sound into the cabin. This monster of an engine is paired with Lamborghini’s 7-speed ISR transmission which takes the power to all four wheels for greater control when on the track.
Aggression is a complete understatement when it comes to the looks of the Aventador Superveloce Roadster, the bold wide stand, sharp edges, huge rear wing alongside the infinite headroom seems like a blend for perfection. It really does look incredible.
First deliveries for the Lamborghini LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster will begin in early 2016 with starting prices at €357,000, or about £251,550 excluding VAT.
