Lamborghini has revealed a new Pirelli special edition of the Aventador to celebrate the Italian car manufacturers relationship with the prestigious tyre company. The Pirelli edition will be available in limited numbers and shares the same engine and other mechanical attributes to the standard Aventador. This means it still has it’s 6.5-litre V12 engine that produces 691bhp. 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds and on to an unbelievable top speed of 217mph.
The differences with the Pirelli edition includes new two-tone paintwork, Pirelli’s logo and a stripe running down the length of the car. Equipment as standard consists of a new carbon fibre and leather interior trim, a transparent engine cover and new 20 and 21-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres. Said tyres feature the same sidewall branding as seen in Formula One.
The two Italian company’s relationship started at the very beginning of Lamborghini in 1963 and every Lamborghini produced since then has utilised Pirelli’s expertise.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition is available in both roadster and coupé variants and first deliveries are planned to take place in Summer 2015 with a handsome price tag of £330,000 in the UK. We tip this to be a future collectors favourite.
