For weeks now Lamborghini have teased us with little snippets of something big it is bringing to this weekend’s Paris motor show. Dripping us little pieces of information to keeps us salivating whilst they bathe in our ignorance, we hate it! But thankfully help is at hand as this mystery car has been revealed just hours before it’s unveiling at the Paris motor show. So is it the much anticipated Murcielago replacement? Well no, but you won’t be disappointed…
This is the Lamborghini’s latest concept, the Sesto Elemento (sixth element.) It appears to be the precursor of what will one day become the new Gallardo. With looks like a military grade nuclear weapon this car claims to be capable of 0-62MPH in just 2.5 seconds with its mid-mounted V10. The extensive use of carbon fibre means that the Sesto Elemento is extremely light and it is this that aids it in its lightning acceleration and top speed of 217.5MPH. Total value of mass? Just 999KG and pair that with 570BHP it is going to make for quite the experience behind the wheel.
This is what Lamborghini had to say: “The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento shows how the future of the super sports car can look – extreme lightweight engineering, combined with extreme performance results in extreme driving fun. We put all of our technological competence into one stunning form to create the Sesto Elemento.”
This Italian company have really outdone themselves with this incredibly mesmerising machine.
