The Land Rover Discovery is something of an icon. For 25 years now the Disco’ has served families who seek a heap of practicality, some serious off-road capabilities and a car that is pleasant to drive when the road hasn’t been carved by Mother Nature. The current incarnation with 7 seats and that famous split tailgate my be 10 years old now, but it still knows how to compete with the best in its class. Land Rover Discovery XXV celebrates 25 Years.
To signify the 25th anniversary of the Discovery, Land Rover have produced a special edition called the XXV. The car is based upon the top HSE Luxury model and comes with silver roof rails, 20 inch alloy wheels and unique Causeway grey paintwork. The cabin features plenty of leather and a twist pile carpet. Obviously a healthy smattering of XXV logos can be found dotted about the car. The changes certainly give this Discovery a real air of maturity and promotes a premium appearance.
Costing £63,000 the XXV is quite expensive, but it will no doubt sell well when it enters showrooms later this year. The original Discovery was launch in 1989 and has been a force to be reckoned with ever since.
