The British company’s cryptic hints of the “dawn of a new era” have had some light brought to them today as it is said they will take on the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin with their upcoming models. Lotus is to deviate from their original philosophy of lightness and simplicity and will run with a new slogan of “Tomorrows luxury sports car today.”
New cars will cost in the region of £80,000-£100,000 and showcase some of the latest pieces of technology such as 7 speed gearboxes. It is also expected that a hybrid variant of the news cars will become a regular occurrence. They also want to increase output to 8000 cars per year in a bold attempt to penetrate this new market.
