Maserati celebrate 100 years this year, quite the achievement considering the amount of financial upheaval of late and their nature of selling low volume cars. The brand that made its name in Grand Prix racing currently has two models in the showroom, the GranTurismo and the Quattroporte. Though the GranTurismo is a fine GT car, it isn’ really a true sports car. Reigniting the tridents sports car DNA is the Maserati Alfieri Concept.
Just wow! Would you look at that… In my opinion this is not only the best looking Maserati the Italian company has ever made, but instantly become one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. Its long majestic bonnet, voluptuous curves and short rear overhangs make this model a handsome thing to behold. This 2+2 to is aimed in the direction of the Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type. Powered by a 4.7 litre V8 engine that develops 460BHP, this car is both beauty and the beast. Though just a concept car for now, the Maserati Alfieri will more than likely make production potentially replacing the ageing GranTurismo.
