The revival of the luxury brand Maybach didn’t go too well for Mercedes-Benz. Last year they pulled the plug due to slow sales and went back to the drawing board to work on how the super rich might decide to part with their cash. The answer was to use their already established luxury image to create the ideal car to be chauffeured around in. Mercedes-Benz have now revealed the S600.
This is the most extravagant version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class to date. The S600 is powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 engine that outputs 523HP and 612lb-ft of torque. Merc’s new “magic body control” also features, a system that scans the road ahead and adjusts the suspension accordingly. A heads up display as well as a Q-branch workshop worth of other gadgets aid the driver. In the back beautifully upholstered reclinable seats, a fridge and a whole host of multimedia functions. A longer wheelbase, even more luxurious “Pullman” model is also in the works.
