Are you a dictator, business tycoon, royalty or maffia lord? If so you will know that purchasing a car is rather difficult as the market for super extravagant machines is much smaller than that of the average hatchback. Further narrowing your choices are those “pretenders” with a bit of cash, you wouldn’t want to be mistaken for one of them… Mercedes-Benz has repurposed its Maybach brand as a sub-brand to luxury variations of its model range. Going a step beyond, the revival of the Pullman name has created the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman.
Based upon the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the Pullman is 21.5 feet long and provides potential customers the ultimate in what German luxury has to offer. Quilted reclining seats will massage you whilst watching TV on an 18.5 inch monitor supported by 3D surround sound, or getting on with some work. Your champaign is continuously chilled and the great unwashed blocked out by curtains. Two temporary folding seats can be deployed in the rear for your “good man” and body guard to sit on. The finest leather upholsters everything and you can keep an eye on your drivers behaviour via in-cabin gauges. Power comes from either a 4.6 litre turbocharged V8 or a twin-turbo 6.0 litre V12. The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is expected to cost around £500,000 without the optional armoured plating.
Making its debut at the Geneva motor show, you can place your order for delivery early next year. Peasants you have been warned!
