Mini John Cooper Works Concept Adds Some Spice

2014 Mini John Cooper Works concept frontWhat do you think of the 2014 Mini? The car is clearly conservative in some areas but then it being the biggest Mini thus far is quite a brave step. Other than the rather surprised expression it wears on its face, I think it looks thoroughly modern and2014 Mini John Cooper Works concept profile like that it keeps the features that we recognise in todays car. With a new generation of Minis on the way, the models variations are starting to trickle through as this John Cooper Works concept demonstrates.

Giving the world a taste for what a spicier Mini Cooper will potentially look like, the John Cooper Works Concept will make its debut at the Detroit motor show next year. Equipped with sporty 18 inch alloy wheels and a muscular bodykit, the overall appearance of the car is more assertive. The new car also sports some contrasting “go faster” stripes for those who want their Mini to be individual and stand out from the crowd. Currently there are no details on what is under the bonnet, but we expect to find out by the cars first public outing.

  1. Sorry but IMHO "thoroughly modern " it is not. "Thoroughly gopping" is my take on it and it is yet another example of the evident inability of BMW and its satellite to avoid ugliness in its attempt to steer clear of the bland VW type ethos. Countryman, Paceman, i3 and now this are all mis-styled and badly detailed. The Countryman and the Paceman both manage to look worse in reality than in pictures. Perhaps the other two will do better (he says hopefully but not realistically). Definitely vehicles for the visually impaired which is worrying.
