Special editions of a car are nothing new. Every manufacturer does it in a bid to boost sales or mark a special event. For Mini’s latest specials it is a case of both. 2012 is the year the Olympic games come to London and what with BMW backing them, it makes sense from a business perspective, that Mini should profit also.
The two special cars are called the Baker Street and Bayswater editions. The Baker Street can be ordered on the One, One D, Cooper or Cooper D models and brings black 16 inch rims and bonnet stripes in specific colours. The Bayswater is available on Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD Minis and gets 17 inch alloys as well as some unique blue paint. Both have plush colour coordinated interiors and start from £16,365 for the Baker, and £18,565 for the Bayswater.
