The current Mondeo was an extravagant departure from the model that preceded it. The new car brought aluminium to where there was once plastic and a starter button to vehicle you would not expect to have one. It drove fantastically, looked good and was above all practical. Today Ford have shown the first images of the new face lifted Mondeo that is set to be formally unveiled at the Moscow motor show.
Externally the changes are slight as a new grill brings a garish chrome strip and the new regulation LED daytime running lights have been fitted, oh and some new rear lights but that’s it on the cosmetic side. As far as functionality is concerned the car is to get a new centre console layout and sat-nav system as well as ambient lighting. The biggest change to the line-up is the addition of a new 237BHP, 2.0 litre turbocharged engine. Ford has also included their DCG gearbox as standard on all EcoBoost Petrol models.
So not massive changes but ones, other than the grill, that are beneficial.
