The Bentley Continental is a great car. Very capable yet very refined and so as a piece of engineering it does very well for itself. What rather spoils the car are the sort of people who buy it. You know the type, more money than sense mixed with unjustifiable snobbery. The preconception of the people who own this car means that when you see one driving around you tend to turn a blind eye in order not to give the driver the satisfaction. However, Bentley has just revealed their new GTC.
Built upon the new Continental, the GTC offers all the latest styling and sculpture from the coupe including those striking LED lights. The car is 70KG lighter than the machine it replaces making the rather lardy Brit a tad nippier. Powered by all wheels again, the GTC now has a bias of 40/60 in a bid to reduce understeer and increase the amount of fun you can have in such a big car. Powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbo W12, power sits at 567BHP and 0-62MPH is dispatched in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is 195MPH.
The GTC will hit showrooms later this year.
