New Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Packs V12 Punch

It is a terrible world out there for you and I. The petrol head is slowly being eradicated from existence, push to the very edge of extinction. No, says the government. No to your love of all things four wheeled and fast, no to your worship of performance machines. The shackles get tighter each day as manufacturers are forced to downsize their engines. Well that was until Mercedes told the Eco-Nazi where he could stick his emission regulations!

Bucking the trend here is the new Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG with 12 fully formed cylinders under the bonnet. The form factor of the all-new SL means that this cars weight is reduced by 170kg over the model it replaces. The twin-turbo 6.0 litre V12 produces an astonishing 621BHP and 737lb-ft of torque. That is more than it’s big brother the SLS! 0-62MPH is completed in just 4 seconds flat and the German will continue onto an electronically limited top speed of 155MPH.
