Le Mans earlier this year was quite the race with Peugeot’s 908 dominating the Audi team for the second consecutive year. But as night fell the Pug’s started dropping like flies and by early morning only one of the three cars remained. Though leading, this car also dropped out with mechanical failures leaving the German’s to gain the top three steps. Very frustrating for the team but with that behind them they are set to embark on their next challenge, the Silverstone 1000KM.
We love Silverstone as it provides epic racing for both the drivers and the spectators. The British circuit plays host to many disciplines of motorsport but now it is time for the big boys to move in for the long hall. Silverstone makes up the first part of the newly conceived International Le Mans Cup (ILMC) taking place September 12th. Ex-formula one driver and one of our favourite British drivers Anthony Davidson will pilot the 908 HDi FAP along with French driver Nicolas Minassian.
Best of luck to all competitors!
