Porsche 911 GT2 RS SOLD OUT

The Porsche 911 is the world’s bestselling sports car and for a number of good reasons. German engineering has turned the potentially flawed idea of a rear engine car into a real benchmark for the rest of the industry. Its defining looks, never ending variations and reasonable pricing make it a brilliant package in all. However, sometimes things do get a bit out of hand and the result of such exuberance in the house of Porsche is a monster in the form of the 911 GT2. Unquestionably quick but was so edgy it is actually frightening to drive, despite this Porsche went even further with the launch of the 911 GT2 RS! Today we got news that every last one has been sold.

The GT2 RS is the ultimate 911 with only 500 examples being made. 611BHP from its 3.6 litre flat-six paired with 516lb-ft of torque equates to 0-62MPH in 3.5 seconds. 205 MPH is this cars limit but you will have to survive the journey there first. The GT2 was borderline dangerous and the GT2 RS I have no doubt will destroy the earth. Even the £165,000 price tag for this car failed as an adequate safety warning as all 500 units have been sold. God help them…
