Range Rover’s Evoque started life in 2008 as the LRX concept at the London motor show. The much smaller 4X4 promised high levels of luxury but on a scale smaller than the Vogue or Sport. Pre-orders of the little rangie have been coming in thick and fast leading to Range Rover considering the induction of a XL Evoque.
To sit between the Evoque and the Sport in the line-up, this “Evoque+” (not it’s name, likely to have its own nameplate.) is for those looking for ultra modern design as well as some off-roading capability. The car will be aimed squarely in the BMW X6’s direction and has a projected cost of £35,000 for the based model. Front-wheel-drive, just like the baby Evoque, will be an option open to customers. Rumor also has it that this car could underpin Jaguar’s first SUV at some point in the future.
This is all a lot for Range Rover to consider but to prove they are not just blowing a load of hot air they have sent out this rendering. Read our first impression for the Range Rover Evoque HERE.
