It was an early start for Formula One fans in the UK today as the Korean GP’s 5 red lights went out at 7AM. The previous days qualifying promised a fantastic race with Lewis Hamilton back on form sitting in pole position. Newly crowned double would champion, Sebastian Vettel, could only muster 2nd. However, small mistakes from the McLaren team turned what looked to be a Mercedes powered domination over the bulls, into a day RBR will not forget.
Vettel claimed victory in the Korean GP gifting his team back-to-back constructors world championships. The win was made all the more special as last year with 10 laps to go, the Germans car failed. This race was yet another testimony to Red Bulls unrelenting speed over its competitors. Though Hamilton overcame Vettel’s team mate, Mark Webber, the Australian wasn’t far off the Brit come the finish line.
Congratulations to Red Bull Racing.
