Since its launch, the Range Rover Evoque can count itself as the fastest selling Land Rover model in the stable, spawning a variety of variations to please all tastes including the 3-door Coupé and, most recently, the Evoque Convertible.
Now, a new exclusive special edition of the ever popular Evoque rolls on to the block, sporting a number of visual enhancements inside and out as well as a generous helping of new tech wizardry thrown in for good measure.
The Range Rover Evoque Ember Edition lives up to its fiery name thanks to its unique red and black colour scheme. A smattering of eye-catching red elements across the car contrast the Santorini Black body colour, most notably across the roof and along the front and rear tow eye covers. For a little extra menace, opt for the Range Rover ‘Black Pack’. This equips the Ember with black 20-inch alloy wheels, black exhaust finishers, a black grille and dark tinted front and rear lights.
Inside, the volcanic theme continues with the Ember’s black seats sporting contrasting red stitching, black and red premium carpet mats in the foot-wells and gloss black trim finishes along the doors, dashboard and centre consol.
In terms of infotainment, the Ember Edition comes kitted out with Land Rover’s latest generation InControl Touch Pro system, already standard aboard the recently revealed Range Rover Evoque Convertible. To be rolled out across the entire Evoque range, Touch Pro features a 10.2-inch tablet-style pinch and zoom smartphone-compatible touchscreen boasting such features as Land Rover’s route planner app.
On the road or indeed off it, you’ll find the Evoque Ember Edition is just as well equipped for all-terrain adventures as any of its stable mates. The manually selectable Low Traction Launch drive mode delivers optimum pull-a-way power on tricky terrain such as ice or sand by carefully regulating torque distribution through Evoque’s all-wheel drive system.
The Range Rover Evoque Ember special edition is available to order for a limited three-month period this summer with the first UK deliveries expected for September 2016. Prices start from £47,200, that’s roughly £6,000 more than a standard Evoque HSE Dynamic will cost you.
