Rosberg Fights Back in Spanish GP

2015 Spanish GP MercedesThe Silver Arrows are once again proving to be top of the pecking order in Formula One after their total dominance of the 2014 season. Whilst Ferrari are showing promise with the development of their car, Mercedes-Benz walked away with the victory in the Spanish GP. The real battle was not to be found inter-team, but within the Mercedes garage where Rosberg had out qualified Hamilton. Rosberg Fights Back in Spanish GP.

As the lights went out on race day it was again Nico Rosberg who was on top form. Getting away from the line much better than Lewis Hamilton. Vettel’s Ferrari managed to get past Hamilton with the same nearly happing with a Williams car. Kimi Raikkonen also appeared strong fighting his way past other members of the grid. Hamilton had further issues when a slow pitstop made the rest of his race an uphill struggle. Stuck behind Vettel he had to earn his eventual second place. Rosberg happy cruised to the finish for his first win of 2015. Both McLaren-Honda cars had issues with Alonso’s braking problems found to be the result of a visor rip-off finding its way into a cooling system. Red Bull were again lacking in terms of engine performance in the Spanish GP.

This race wasn’t the most exciting and has again called into question the direction the sport has taken.
