SEAT has unveiled their first performance estate, the Leon ST CUPRA. Combining both space and performance is a very appealing blend and the ST CUPRA does both very well. 1,470 litres of boot space and being able to tackle 0-62mph in 6.0 seconds are both equally impressive in their own right.
In the UK, the ST CUPRA’s 2.0-litre engine produces 280PS. High-end technologies such as Dynamic Chassis Control, progressive steering and standard LED headlights suggest that this fast estate is indeed a premium product. “The new Leon ST CUPRA is pure SEAT – emotion and performance, design and dynamics deliver driving fun mile after mile. It boasts state-of-the-art technology evident in its great precision, but also in its amazing efficiency,” stresses Dr. Matthias Rabe, Vice President for Research and Development.
The new SEAT Leon CUPRA ST is the next in the company’s range of dynamic CUPRA models. CUPRA models stand for power performance and dynamics. The high power output is teamed with good acceleration and a broad range of torque offers more than sufficient pulling power. Despite this, fuel economy remains very good – 42.8mpg is achieved with the optional DSG gearbox and 42.2 with the manual gearbox.
Also available is the ‘Sub8 Performance pack’, which includes larger Brembo brake callipers, 19-inch specially designed alloy wheels available in black or orange and body-coloured side-skirts for £2,025. Also Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres are available for an additional £460.
