The word at Ferrari at the moment is change with arguably the biggest shake-up in management within the companies history. When Luca di Montezemolo was put out to pasture and Stefano Domenicali departed from F1, the dominoes started to fall rapidly. This legendary team has not performed as expected over the past few years in Formula One, not just a problem for the prancing horse as it is also a matter of national pride. There are plenty of new faces at Ferrari and replacing Fernando Alonso as the teams number one driver is four time world champion Sebastian Vettel.
This is our first chance to see the young German get behind the wheel of a red car as he departs Red Bull Racing. At Fiorano he ran a 2013 spec car in a bid to familiarise himself with his new team and the way things work. Vettel’s move to Ferrari has long been speculated as he openly admits that to drive for the team was a childhood dream. Clearly hoping to replicate the success of his idol Michael Schumacher, both Vettel and Ferrari ave a lot of work to do if they are to catch the dominant new world champions Mercedes AMG.
