Subaru are synonymous with going up and over any surface at a quick pace. The Japanese firm that found global fame in it’s Impreza has, diversified just like many other manufacturers, into the world of the 4X4. Unfortunately the B9 wasn’t much cop as well as being capable of educing vomit the moment you saw it. Luckily it didn’t last long and the world breathed a sigh of relief. Their new concept car previews what will become a “jeep” of sorts in the companies future and I must say that we approve.
The XV Concept is a rather funky design with its ASBO green paint and body bulges. The car is powered by a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine promising vast levels of economy. Though just a concept these new design elements will filter down the line of up and coming Subaru’s including the new Impreza. Lets hope that the XV sees better sales figures than the B9 when it eventually goes into production.
