In this job we are lucky enough to test some of the most incredible machines that manufactures take to tarmac. Writing about such cars is an absolute pleasure and can only be described as a “dream job.” But pictures speak a thousand words and automotive photography is very important when it comes to keeping your readers involved in the story.

Unfortunately when we publish something, out of the hundreds of great images that we and other photographers capture only a very small proportion make it to you guys. It’s not that these other pictures are imperfect in some way, it is just plain logistics that we can’t pick them all. Years ago these great pieces of art would have simply been forgotten about, but thanks to the social magnet known as Facebook you can now enjoy every one of them.

Our Facebook page now contains hundreds of high resolution images from our road tests, track days and good old fashioned static photo shoots. Cars from the latest Mercedes AMG’s to Dacia’s new Duster getting muddy for the first time. They are all there just waiting for you to make them your desktop background or to simply browse over. Go on you art gallery connoisseur of the 21st century, they are yours to view!

Isn’t it just a work of art? From the moment I saw the new Vanquish, in the early hours of the morning, I got very excited. An all-new V12 GT from Aston Martin wearing possible the coolest name ever giving to a machine? YES PLEASE! Effortlessly seductive, you could say that the Vanquish has already surpassed its DBS forefather in some respects. You can read the FULL STORY HERE or you may spend a little more time drooling over these new images for a little while longer.

Ferrari’s gorgeous new 458 Spider has been out giving the Italian countryside a rollicking over the past few days and are we sure glad that there was a camera about. The 4.5 litre V8 work of art not only drives like a true prancing horse but is also one of the prettiest things on wheels. Ferrari have sent us these new images of the car.

It is a growling twin-turbo V8 brute! The new M5, though missing its predecessors V10 block, produces more power yet is also considerably more efficient. So far the performance orientated luxury saloon has been receiving high praise from the worlds press and with good reason. The car has been out working the publicity machine and the end result is this gallery of cracking images.

McLaren’s MP4-12c is starting to leak into the public realm with customers claiming their keys to the Woking built beast. Naturally the car has been out on photo-shoots for publicity and McLaren has just sent us the latest batch. Britons latest supercar, though criticized for looking too tame, sure does make a pretty picture.

Rumor has it that the car has a waiting list that stretches nearly two years, however with the impending opening of a purpose built factory production is to ramp up from two cars a day to ten.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is by far and away one of our favorite supercars on the market today. Offering luxury and relentless power the GT with those Legendary gullwing doors naturally has a waiting list longer than Farther Christmas’ beard. The car was designed from the offset to be both coupe and convertible and so when the roadster goes on sale later this year performance will remain unhindered.

Officially revealed the SLS Roadster packs the same 563BHP punch as the coupe and carnget from standing to 62MPH in 3.8 seconds. Top speed sits at just under 200MPH thanks to weighing just 40KG more than the coupe. The roof can do its thing in just 11 seconds and as long as you are traveling at under 30MPH the SLS is more than happy to do it on the move. Boot space only drops by 3 litres with the roof down making the transformation from coupe to convertible a stereotypically German “efficient” affair.

Just a quick post to share pretty much what we already know. Over the past two days we and many other motoring journals have been running stories of the leaked images and video of BMW’s next generation M5. The bold new design is very muscular yet does have an air of refinement about it. After all this media coverage of a car the Germans have yet to announce they have bowed to the pressure and made the Concept official.

The will debut alongside the new 6 Series Coupe at the Shanghai autoshow and is to be powered by a twin-turbo V8. Other than these images BMW are keeping the rest a closely guarded secret until its unveiling.

The BMW 5 Series is quite an experience from any generation. The luxury saloon can turn heads but also wrench necks thanks to performance by the bucket load. But the creme de la creme has always been the biblical M5. The outgoing model had an astonishing V10 engine that will be sorely missed. However BMW’s successor will not disappoint…

Leaked ahead of its Shanghai debut by some naughty person who attended an embargoed event, the new M5 is nothing short of stunning. These images from Motor Authority show the bold new design dominating its environment. The side grills are a particular favorite element of ours along with the muscular body line that accompanies it. The twin-turbo V8 luxury ballistic missile will officially be unveiled to the world by the Germans in Shanghai along with all the juicy details we just cant wait for.

Speed is something man has craved since he has been able to walk. It’s a competitive edge that once was a guaranteed meal ticket and gauge for dominance. Today we have supermarkets and no need to chase deer on foot but that craving for blistering acceleration and colossal overall speed is still there. That’s why cars such as the Bugatti Veyron exist, to quench our thirst for dominance. But what if you don’t have a spare million? How do you get would 250MPH+ kicks then?

We reported on the Hennessey Venom GT last year and were absolutely blown away by some of the figures it produced. 267MPH, 0-60MPH in 2.5 seconds, but more importantly a price well under current hypercars. Ok, so at the end of the day it is a highly modified Lotus Exige and so could never hope to be as complete as a Veyron but “bangs for your bucks” is the name of the game… Hennessey have just released images of chassis 3 in a voluptuous red.
