Named the TL11 the new car is more of an evolution than a revolution. Though Team Lotus did not have the budget of the larger teams at least this year it had more than 6 months to manufacturer a car, unlike in 2010. The car will race in the still very unique green and yellow scheme of the original Lotus team however their plans of racing in the iconic black and gold were extinguished by Lotus-Renault GP who piped them to the post. The major change for the TL11 is that it is now powered by the might of a Renault engine, the engine supplier that is sat in the current world champion’s car.
In 2011 Team Lotus hope to build on their productive first year in the sport with what they say is a very competitive machine. Driver Jarno Trulli is expecting finishes that will put him in the points.
