Whilst in the UK a day simply without rain is to be cherished, we do love the opportunity to take the roof off of our cars. The UK is  actually one of the worlds biggest markets for convertibles! This got us thinking… If we were to pick a handful of the perfect cars for summer 2015, what would they be? Here is our top 5 convertible cars.

5. Mazda MX-5

Any generation, you pick… The Mazda MX-5 is not only a highly accessible convertible in terms of price, but it is also a damn fine sports car too. You needn’t worry about overheating or things going bang. It is beautiful in its simplicity. Roof down, the open road and you. We have a soft sport for the MK1.

4. Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

Power, beauty and soul is Aston Martin’s slogan and this Vanquish Volante is the perfect embodiment of that. With an orchestral V12 engine under the bonnet and styling that is nothing short of gorgeous, its is the perfect GT for a cross continental cruise down to Monte Carlo.

3. Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

This is not so much a car, but a work of art. Sculpted curves of pure Italian styling creates a feast for the eyes. A V8 soundtrack is even more audible with the roof down. Whilst it is not the perfect machine, nothing pleases a petrol head more than an Alfa Romeo.F60 America

2. Ferrari F60 America

This extremely rare car is based upon the already impressive Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and so houses a 6.3 litre V12 engine with 731BHP. 0-62MPH takes just 3.1 seconds! Just 10 were ever built at the cost of £1,560,000 each.

Pure class. This British icon might not be as maintenance free as more modern cars you could choose, however, none of the other possess legendary status. “The most beautiful car in the world” proclaimed Enzo Ferrari. This is a deserved winner of our top 5 convertible cars.
