Funky little supermini’s are enjoying a surge of sales and for every car manufacturer that isn’t part of that segment, it is time to jump in. Vauxhall is one such brand, however, they have something of an image problem. If you drive a brand new Vauxhall are you “cool” in an brand aware environment? The answer is no and that is why Vauxhall’s new car is all about redefining what it means to drive a small Vauxhall.
The Adam is a tiny four seater hatchback that is set to go toe to toe with the likes of Fiat’s 500 and the Mini in 2013. The cars radical design elements will set it apart and with over a million exterior and interior trim combinations, Vauxhall say you can make yours like no other on the road. Power will come from a 1.2 litre engine with 69BHP, or two 1.4’s with 86BHP and 99BHP on offer. All engines are to paired with a 5 speed manual gearbox.
Can the Vauxhall’s new baby change their “uncool” status? We shall just have to wait and see on that one.
