Vauxhall Insignia BiTurbo Packs A Punch

SHARE

Back in 2008 we witnessed the unveiling of the Vauxhall Insignia. To replace the dull Vectra, this saloon brought a new upmarket appearance and feel that today has been translated across the range. The Insignia comes in a handful of shapes and sizes but this new model wields the most powerful diesel engine Vauxhall has ever made.

Called the Insignia BiTurbo, the twin-turbo engine produces 198BHP as well as 295lb-ft of torque. Available in front or all wheel drive, the Insignia makes the most of its turbos in a 0-62MPH sprint of just 8.2 seconds. Fuel economy is also a respectable 57.6MPG. The front drive car starts from £27,120 and the 4X4 will set you back £29,725. Both are available in SRi, SRi Vx-line and Elite trims.
