Pikes Peak is an incredible event that takes place in America to find out who can storm to the top of the mountain fastest. Last year WRC legend Sebastian Loeb conquered the events top tier unlimited class, one of the few areas of motorsport that hasn’t been strangled by regulations, in a special Peugeot 208 T16. The car gets its name from another biblical machine from the French brand that claimed victory back in 1988. Peugoet’s 405 T16 was an absolute monster, something vicious enough to belong in Group B rallying. Powered by a 1.9 litre turbocharged engine, Ari Vatanen danced the car up to the top of Pikes Peak with absolute mastery of terrain and the beast he was driving.
In this award winning short film witness the sheer will, determination and bravery Ari displays has he grabs the bull by the horns. Watch Ari Vatanen Climb Pikes Peak:
